"I recently had one of the most unpleasant and unprofessional experiences with an insurance agent named Tri To from Tiffany Kim Insurance. As a Vietnamese customer who is not fluent in English, I was specifically looking for a Vietnamese insurance agent to assist me, hoping that the shared language and cultural understanding would make the process smoother. Unfortunately, my experience with Tri To was nothing short of disappointing. He was dismissive, rude, and discriminatory—something I never expected from someone within my own community, and to make matters worse, trying to get in contact with him was a complete nightmare. Despite reaching out multiple times and requesting callbacks from his coworkers, it was all in vain. From the very start, Tri To demonstrated no interest in assisting me. When I did manage to get in touch with him, I was seeking a quote, but because of my limited English, I had to take extra care to understand everything. Rather than being patient, Tri To quickly grew irritated, giving short, condescending responses that made me feel as though I was wasting his time. This attitude alone was unprofessional, but what was even more frustrating was that after our initial contact, I couldn’t reach him again despite my multiple attempts. I requested callbacks through his coworkers several times, hoping for another chance to clarify things and continue the process, but it seemed like he had no intention of helping me. The most heartbreaking part of this entire experience is the fact that I had specifically sought out Tri To because he, like me, is Vietnamese. I believed that a shared background would make for a better, more understanding experience. Instead, I was met with condescension and a dismissive attitude that left me feeling belittled, especially since I was simply trying to navigate the conversation in a language I am not fluent in. To be treated like this by someone from my own community was deeply disheartening, and it felt as though I was being judged for my language skills rather than being treated as a valued customer. This experience has forced me to rethink my decision to work with Tiffany Kim Insurance. Despite all of this, due to the few last strands of trust and love I had for State Farm, I decided to reach out to another State Farm agent. To my relief, this new agent was the complete opposite of Tri To in every way. Their attitude was respectful, patient, and professional, which immediately contradicted everything Tri To had told me. This agent took the time to explain everything clearly, ensuring I understood all the details and never once made me feel uncomfortable or judged. I am deeply grateful that Tri To’s discriminatory behavior did not stop me from trusting in and believing in State Farm. In the end, the other State Farm agent was able to help me get the quote and coverage I needed, restoring my faith in the company."
